This case involves a man in his late 20s who was involved in an accident while working on a scaffold. We are going to call him “Jose” in order to protect his identity.
Jose at the time of the accident was working for a company who was doing construction work at a commercial project. On the morning of the accident the roof that he was working on collapsed and he fell approximately two stories severely fracturing his legs, arms and other parts of his body. Things did not look good for him since he could not work as a result of his injuries.
After the accident Jose was taking by ambulance to the hospital where he underwent surgical intervention. After being admitted to the hospital for approximately a week he was released.
After being released from the hospital he retained our office, Cannon & Acosta, LLP in order to pursue his legal rights. He was attracted to our office since myself as well as all my staff is bilingual.
An action was commenced on his behalf in order to recover for his personal injuries shortly after he retained our office. Substantial litigation was required including taking the testimony of parties, witness statements and other related work. As a result of the work of our office, as well as all involved, the case ultimately settled for $1,400,000.00.
Thanks to all the hard work Jose has very bright future ahead of him and his future is secure.
